I have suffered from chronic back problems (herniated disks at L4/L5 & L5/S1) for most of my adult life. Shortly after my injury and the realization that it was indeed chronic, I made a decision to not let the injury limit my life - which often put my will and my body at odds with one another.
A few years ago I decided to try surfing for the first time – it was something I always wanted to try and I really enjoyed my afternoon in the surf. Unfortunately, within 30 minutes of leaving the water my entire lower back had seized up.

STUFFED PEPPERS – SWEETCHEEK STYLE.
By
Here’s a healthy recipe from our good friends at Sweet Cheeks HQ!! Check them out at www.sweetcheekshq.com for more healthy eating tips and ridiculousness!!
Stuffed Peppers
1 pound beef
1 pound sweet italian sausage, minus the casing
4 large green peppers
1 large onion
2 carrots
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/2 head of cauliflower
6 ounce can of tomato paste
1 tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
Cut the tops of the peppers and clean the seeds out.
Arrange peppers in the crock pot standing up and make sure they fit securely.
Grate onion, carrots, garlic and cauliflower in the food processor or just chop them into small pieces with a knife if you don’t have a food processor.
In a big bowl, combine ground meats, chopped vegetables, seasonings and tomato paste.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Stuff the peppers with the mixture and arrange leftover meat mixture between and under the peppers. Add half a cup of water over and around the peppers, cover and cook on low for at least 8 hours and up to 10.
If you don’t have your own “personal chef”, this dish can be cooked in the oven, covered, for 1-2 hours.
Enjoy!
